Fiesta Festival Fireworks

fiesta fireworksAfter having my dinner in china town, i went to darling harbour for the Fiesta Festival Darling Harbour. I heard that gonna be a fireworks at 8:30pm, but actually by the time i get there its already 9 pm. I thought the fireworks already finished, but byt the time i get there, the fireworks just started. I’m very lucky i think. the fireworks itself maybe only for 10 minutes, and not really good though. But anyway, its free mate, so stop complaining :) . Compare to last year fiesta festival , it looks like this year is not as successful as last year, because not too many people coming on this year.

Summit Restaurant Australia Square

australia squareLast night i went to china town to have dinner there , and on my way along george st, i saw something which catch my eyes straight away with the unusual pink color along the australia square building. Apparently, From the 26th September 2006 the SUMMIT RESTAURANT, Australia Square will be one of just two Sydney buildings lit pink for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Estee Lauder Global Illumination, joining worldwide architectural landmarks including New World Centre in Hong Kong, Tokyo Tower and Seoul City Hall in Korea, and Sydney Opera House, which can be seen clearly from the Summit. There will also be 13 other Australian icons lit pink to launch Breast Cancer Month.

Reaching 47 storeys high, the pink hued Summit will be a visual landmark in the centre of the city, reminding Sydneysiders that more than 11,800 people each year are diagnosed with breast cancer and sending a signal of hope up into the sky for Breast Cancer Month

In addition, as a proud Partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Summit has committed to donating money to help fund research into a cure for breast cancer, having created a special PINK Framboisier dessert and a sexy PINK cocktail for the occasion. The decadent PINK Framboisier dessert is exclusive to the Summit, the first Australian outlet for the renowned French pastry and dessert specialist Lenotre.

I never have dinner in summit restaurant before, but from the information i got, for sure the view is very stunning with a panoramic floor to ceiling windows overlooking 360º Sydney. I might have a try one day to have dinner there to prove it by myself.

New Yahoo mail

I just login to my yahoo mail, and apparently they are changing the new interface with better user interface and function now. Honestly, i like the new design more than the old one, but it looks like takes more time to load the page or email with this new interface. One of the best thing i like is the open new email in new tab, which is like the one you can find in firefox.

Canberra Floriade 2006

floriadeI actually already booked a one day trip to Canberra floriade festival for this saturday 30th September 2006, but yesterday i got a call from the tour guide, saying that they are actually over booked, and offer me to change the date to monday which is public holiday here in australia (labour day). I dont know how they organize the booking system, but it just looks like not professional because i already booked and they did confirmed to me that there is a seat on saturday.

The tour guide looks like very desperate  to find people who want to change the date so she can get 2 seat for her japanese  customer. Actually i really dont want to change the date to monday, because i prefer to go on saturday so can have  a rest on monday before back to work. But finally i agree to help her, and she also offer me free ticket to port stephens.  Not too bad offer isn’t it ? :) When you do a favor for someone, good thing will just be back coming to you in the future :)
