I just saw an advertising from ANZ Bank in SBS TV program. Its about Customize Credit card with your own image or design. Very interesting marketing idea to attract people to sign up with this credit card. Because people always like something which they can customize by them self to suit their taste.
This is what it said in their website :
You can now design your ANZ First or ANZ Access card with an image of your choice. So whether it’s a photo, design or drawing, the way your card looks is up to you. Just upload your favourite photo or design – you can even choose an image from our library.* You don’t need to be an ANZ customer to apply.
and here are the key feature of anz credit card:

I might try to apply and create my own design using my own photo, but the thing is i got 2 credit cards already. Anyway, its an interesting and smart marketing idea in my opinion , in the very competitive market to grab some customer with this added value.

Money magazine subscription
Finally I got my first money magazines October edition. I have been thinking to subscribe to money magazines since 6 months ago, but always forget to subscribe until last month i got the chance to subscribe from magshop. It cost me $55/year for 11 issues. Compare if i buy it from retailer shop per issue gonna cost me $6.50, so if i work it out, it save me $16.50 for 11 issues. For you who don’t know what is money magazines, Money Magazine is a credible, entertaining source of information and ideas on personal finance. And here is money magazine October edition highlights :

a Ninemsn My Local - Mystery Shopper Promotion Overview
There are 5 different on-line games. Each game relates to either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. The games are located at mylocal.ninemsn.com.au.
Entry is open only to ninemsn members. Membership is free.
An entrant can play each game as many times as they like, but may only submit one entry for each game played (a maximum of 5 entries altogether per entrant).
The object of each game is to work out the location in the named city that is shown in a picture that is initially hidden from view, and to specify that location in the entrant’s entry into the competition.
An entrant may select any of the portions covering the picture (there may be up to nine) and then answer a multiple choice question asked in relation to the selected portion. If the correct answer is selected, that part of the picture that is covered by the selected portion is revealed to the entrant. If an incorrect answer is given, the entrant may select another answer and continue until the correct answer is selected.
An entrant may submit an entry specifying the hidden location before revealing all the portions of the picture, or they may wait until the full picture has been revealed.
There is one prize ($10,000). An entrant is only eligible to win the prize if their drawn entry correctly identifies the location for the game played.

Canberra Trip
I just came back from my one day tour to Canberra for the floriade tulip festival as you can see the detail from my previous post. I thought its gonna be a bit cold and raining there according to the weather forecast, but it was very hot when i get there and very sunny. 30 degree celcius there, and i’m wearing black shirt with black pants. I was like.. feel burning there, and i didnt use any sunscreen lotion as well because i really think thats its gonna be raining and windy there. Well….that prove that we can’t really trust the weather forecast.
I arrived at the meeting point in front of avilion hotel sydney around 7.25am. I thought the bus is just a small bus, but apparently its a big buss, and it is a new one. the tour is fully booked , and its around 80 people are on that buss. So lucky me because i can enjoy the new buss. There are 2 tour guides, one is Thai and the other one is Japanese. But the driver is Aussie though. All of them are very friendly.
We left from Sydney at 7.30 am, then approximately at 9.30 we stop at McDonald Sutton forest for 30 minutes for our morning tea break. Around 12 am we arrive at the floriade festival at commonwealth park. We stay there around 2.5 hrs and then we drive pass the foreign embassies and visit the new parliament house. We stay there for 50 minutes then went to the Australian War memorial. at 4.30 we head back to Sydney, and at 8.30 we arrive at Sydney.
The floriade actually is not really good as i thought, but if you never been there before, you should go there for your once in a life time experience. I’m pretty satisfied with the tour service and might use them again in my next trip.
