I just found gizmoz site and give it a try to create a talking ecard. The result quite amazing and nice. You can record your own sound or just type the text and the avatar will pronounce what you type on the text. I try to use Borat, the Kazakhstan’s comedian character, and then i type some season greeting message. You can have a look the result here: http://www.gizmoz.com/video/337587_teddy

Vodka.com sold for us$3m

vodka.com logoI just read a new that saying the domain name www.Vodka.com has been acquired by Conglomerate Russian Standard Co., controlled by Roustam Tariko.  Roustam Tariko, Russian entrepreneur behind Russia’s biggest vodka maker has paid $US 3 million (around Aus$3.8million ) to buy the vodka.com domain name. The transactions is done using the service of domain name broker sedo.com. This price might be one of the the highest price ever paid for acquiring a domain name. Can you imagine if someone want to buy your domain name for Aus$3.8 million? Even for Aus $1million i would say deal straight away , without thinking too much. I know some people buy a heaps of domain name and they hope one day someone will try to buy from them with good price. Some of them can earn money, but some of them finally have to stop registering the domain name because keep loosing money. It just about luck and how good you are in choosing and predict which domain name will become famous one day.

As i know, Here are some other domain name sold for extremely high price:
- www.diamond.com  sold for $US7.5 million
- Business.com sold for $US7.5 million in 1999
- Sex.com sold for around $US12 million

Oh yea, one thing that really amazed me is the logo of the company/products. Very nice logo! And For you guys who own a lot of domain names, keep praying…maybe one day will offer you $1 million… hahaha….

Christmas in Myer

I went to Myer in city the other days and i notice that in the 3rd level on the corner section got a lot of kids and their parents there. Curious about what’s happening there, i went closer to find it out. Apparently there was an opportunity  to take a photo with Santa which cost around $25, and also there is a small train going inside the artificial tunnel for kids. Its quite fun though, kids these days are very lucky compare to the time when i was a kids. Not too many toys or as many fun / entertainment available at that time.
