Mybloglog widget
Actually i have known mybloglog for quite a long time already, but i just dont have time to try it by myself in my blog. So today i spent a couple hours to explore more about its feature. Because my blog is using wordpress 2.03 so i just follow the instruction given in mybloglog site :
- Install the Sidebar Widgets plugin from Automattic. Skip this step if you already have it installed.
- Download the MyBlogLog widget file: mybloglog_wp_2.zip. Unzip its content into your WP plugins/widgets directory, located at
/wp-content/plugins/widgets . - Login to your WP admin, click on the “Plugins” tab, look through the list of installed plugins to find the one called “MyBlogLog”, and then click on “Activate” to activate the plugin.
- Finally, click on “Presentation” tab, then “Sidebar Widgets” subtab. You will see MyBlogLog from the “Available Widgets” list. Drag and drop it to your template sidebar, click on the widget setting and follow the instructions on there to set it up.
But because i’m using other template so i need to edit the template by myself and put the code in my own template. So if you are not really familiar with html, it might be not too easy for you to add this widget. My suggestion to mybloglog developer if they want this widget used by a lot of blogger then they might think about a way to make the installation easier.
Its kind of fun honestly to play around with this mybloglog widget, because make you curious about who is visiting your blog. One big advantage for sure it will bring more traffic to your site because when you visit other people blog which got mybloglog as well, you will leave a link to your site. Only one downside you have to think about it is about your web site loading speed will be slower because have to connect to mybloglog server to retrieve the data. As you can see on the left side of my blog, i will leave this mybloglog there for a while to see if its really useful for me or not.
Australia day in sydney
Yes, today is australia day, and it was very crowded around circular quay. I went around opera house to take some photo of ferry there and then i walked up along the street in macquarie st. Oh yea, i also spotted in front of my apartment , there are a lot of old buss is operated at australian day. I reckon they also give a free ride because i see so many people were queuing there.

Apparently, there are so many old and classic car were parked along the macquarie st. There are heaps of them. Some of them still looks very good. some of them even got sign for sale around $30k. There is also an old firefighter car which is looks pretty cool though. Once we get to hyde park, there are even more people there. Nothing special there actually , they got free music and most of other stall is selling food. I stopped for while in one stall which offer free lipton tea, and then decided to go to wollies to buy some sausage and salad for my dinner. Because its australia day, so we gonna have BBQ tonight
Finger Touching Wearable Mobile Phone Device
I just read this cool gadget idea from yankodesign. A wearable mobile device for enhanced chatting. It introduces a new wearable device that anyone can communicate with that is easier and lighter in mobile circumstances corresponding to the 3.5G, 4G communication standard. Human hand is the most basic communication method. For easier and simpler controls, it uses the instinctive input method “finger joint”. Excluding the thumb, each finger joint makes up twelve buttons, with “the knuckle button”, using the cell phone’s 3X4 keypad, likely being the most popular input method.
This mobile device loops around your palm and has a small screen where you can see the person you are talking with and a laser which projects a keypad onto your hand, using the joints of your fingers to break up the number or letter blocks.
Hopefully this device which is designed by Sunman Kwon will be in the market soon.

Third day In Melbourne
Around 6 am i already woke up, prepared for my 1 day tour to Great Ocean road because we have to get there before 8am. The tour we booked with is Grayline tour , and the bus driver name is Con and apparently he is also the guide. So he is guiding, by telling a story while driving along the way. I’m not sure it is usual in Melbourne, but usually in Sydney, there is always different person who act as the guide. He is actually good though in guiding the tour, but the only concern i have is about the security, because he have to keep talking while he is driving.
Here are some highlight of the tour:
- Views of Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay from West Gate Bridge
- City of Geelong and Corio Bay
- Torquay and the Surf Coast
- Visit famous Bells Beach
- Spectacular coastal views along the Great Ocean Road
- Surf beach resort of Lorne
- Precipitous coastal cliffs, long sandy beaches and rolling surf
- Stop at picturesque Apollo Bay for lunch - perhaps a walk along the beach
- Huge stone monoliths of the Twelve Apostles
- You may take an optional helicopter flight over the shipwreck coast (your own expense)
- The Island Arch and Razorback - grand architecture carved by surf
- Loch Ard Gorge - site of the tragic shipwreck of the “Loch Ard”
- Stark remains of London Bridge
- Port Campbell - holiday resort and fishing village
- See the spectacular evening lights of Melbourne from West Gate Bridge.
London Brigde

Twelve Apostles
Around 8pm we already back to melbourne city, and we decide to find something to eat first in city before heading back to hotel. Not sure about what kind of food we would like to eat, and maybe because all of us are tired as well, we decided to find the one closer to the place the buss stop. I had the vietnamese broken rice with pork ribs and some sort of steam pork mince with eggs. Its not as yummy as i usually have in sydney. But who care, i was very hungry already
After dinner we decided to walk back to hotel, and once we get to hotel, i had shower, then go to bed straight away because i am pretty tired already.
2nd day in Melbourne
On my second day we decided to walk around in city and also tried to book for our 1 day trip either to Great ocean road or to watch the Pengiun. Because We are not sure yet which tour we gonna booked with , thats why we still walking around , grabbed some brochures whenever we found a 1 day tour agent. Finally we decided to book with grayline tour which is located close to the chinatown city . After talked with the friendly staff, she said to me, what is the cheapest price i got, she said she can beat it. So she offered me $99 including lunch and pickup serive in our hotel as well. Thats sounds pretty good deal for me, so i took the deal, and pay off for 4 tickets. My advice if you want to book for 1 day tour, try to grabbed some brochure first, and bring it to them, so they can beat the price cheaper or at least same for you. One consideration why i booked with them is because they are using big buss, so for sure it will be more comfortable for me on the journey. Read more
